The PMP®
Project Management Professional
program is under
the control
and jurisdiction of the PMI organization. Perspective
candidates should follow
this process in order to
apply for the PMI-PMP certification
exam.
Register
as a member of the Project
Management Institute at
www.pmi.org . We recommend
registering for both the
National
and your local
chapter. The Exam cost for
members is $405.00,
compared
to $555.00 for non-members
Apply
to take the exam. You will
need to document 4,500
hours
(with a 4 yr degree) to
7,500 hours (w/o degree)
of experience in the
Project Management Body
of Knowledge domains,
equal to
approximately 2 1/4 to 4 years non-overlapping
experience.
A training
certificate of at least
35 contact hours of Project
Management training (PDU's)
is required to register
for the exam. If you don't
have the necessary hours
we have a pre-course self
study module that provides
you with the required PDU's!

Edition
PMI may
conduct reference checks
as part of the periodic
audit process.
If you are
audited, you will be notified
via email.
Once
you have received approval
from PMI you should schedule
your
exam. You should try
and schedule the test for
the day after class. You
can do this at
Prometric.
